RepairsonEpsonproductshouldbeperformedonlybyanEpsoncertifiedrepairtechnician.

Noworkshouldbeperformedonthisproductbypersonsunfamiliarwithbasicsafetyknowledgerequiredforelectrician.

Thepowerratingofthisproductisindicatedontheserialnumber/ratingplate.Neverconnectthisproducttothepowersourcewhosevoltagesisdifferentfromtheratedvoltage.

ReplacemalfunctioningcomponentsonlywiththosecomponentsprovidedorapprovedbyEpson;

introductionofsecond-sourceICsorothernon-approvedcomponentsmaydamagetheproductandvoidanyapplicableEpsonwarranty.

ThecapacitorsontheMainBoardmaybeelectricallychargedrightafterthepowerturnsofforafterdrivingmotorswhichgeneratescounterelectromotiveforcesuchaswhenrotatingthePFRollerorwhenmovingtheCRUnit.ThereisarisktodamagetheMainBoardiftheFFCisshort-circuitedwiththecapacitorsontheMainBoardelectricallycharged,therefore,afterthepowerturnsofforaftermotorsaredriven,leavetheprinteruntouchedforapproximately30secondstodischargethecapacitorsbeforestartingdisassembly/reassembly.

Topreventthecircuitboardsfromshort-circuiting,becarefulaboutthefollowingwhenhandlingFFCorcables.

WhenhandlingFFC,takecarenottolettheterminalsectionofFFCtouchmetalparts.

Whenconnectingcables/FFCtotheconnectorsoncircuitboards,connectthemstraighttotheconnectorstoavoidslantinsertion.

Inordertoprotectsensitivemicroprocessorsandcircuitry,usestaticdischargeequipment,suchasanti-staticwriststraps,whenaccessinginternalcomponents.

Donottiltthisproductimmediatelyafterinitialinkcharge,especiallyafterperformingtheinkchargeseveraltimes.Doingsomaycauseinktoleakfromtheproductbecauseitmaytakesometimeforthewasteinkpadstocompletelyabsorbinkwastedduetotheinkcharge.

Nevertouchtheinkorwastedinkwithbarehands.Ifinkcomesintocontactwithyourskin,washitoffwithsoapandwaterimmediately.Ifyouhaveaskinirritation,consultadoctorimmediately.

Whendisassemblingorassemblingthisproduct,makesuretowearglovestoavoidinjuriesfrommetalpartswithsharpedges.

Useonlyrecommendedtoolsfordisassembling,assemblingoradjustingtheprinter.

Observethespecifiedtorquewhentighteningscrews.

Beextremelycarefulnottoscratchorcontaminatethefollowingparts.

Whendisassembling/reassemblingthisproduct,ifyoufindadhesivepowerofthedouble-sidedtapewhichsecurethepartsorFFCisnotenough,replacethetapewithnewoneandattachitcorrectlytothespecifiedpointswherethepartsorFFCshouldbesecured.

Unlessotherwisespecifiedinthismanual,thelabelsattachedonthereturnedproductshouldbetransferredtothecorrespondingattachmentpositionsonthenewonereferringtothelabelsonthereturnedproduct.
