The important sentences -Lets see the pandas first. -Why do you want to see them? -Because They are cute.Difficult pointTo learn to talk about the animals that students want to see first, and give reasons.Teaching methodTask-based language teaching method, cooperation, communication.Teaching aidsRadio, power point, word cards.Teaching procedureStep 1: Greeting -Good afternoon, boys and girls. -Good afternoon, Miss Guo.Step 2: Leading Show a picture about “zoo”.T:-What is it?Ss:-Its a zoo.T: -What can you see in this zoo?Ss:-AnimalsT: -So we can say, there are many animals in the zoo.T: -What animals do you know?Ss:-.Step 2: New words Guess animals: The first one: Its from China, it is black and white. Let students guess this animal.(panda) Show pandas picture and the new word to students. I think pandas are very cute. (show the new word “cute”.) The same way to teach other new words. students practice and remember the new words. Teacher show the pictures and students say the words in English.Step 3:1a Students finish activity 1a by themselves. Then check the answer together. Students read the words in 1a together. Teacher asks some students with following sentences and helps them answer. -So many animals we learned, I like animals very much. If we are in the zoo, I want to see the pandas first. Role playStudents use these sentences to make a new dialogue.-I want to see the pandas first.-Why do you want to see them?-Because theyre very cute.Step 4: Pair work(1c) Talk about the animals that you want to see first.-Lets see the lions first.-Why do you want to see them? -Because theyre interesting. Ask some groups to show their conversations.Step 5: Listening(1b) Play the radio just once and ask students to check the animals they hear. Then play the radio the second time, at the same time, ask students fill the blanks according to the tape scripts. Then check the answers. Let student recite the tape script.Step 6: Survey Ask students to do a survey with their partners, 4-6 people in a group, then finish a table, and make a passage. After the survey, show some groups passage to classes.Step 7: Summary Words: panda, elephant, giraffe, lion, tiger, koala, cute, smart, beautiful, lazy, interesting, friendly. Sentences: -Lets see the pandas first. -Why do you want to see them? -Because They are cute. Moral objects: Animals are our friends. To Love animals is to love ourselves. Dont kill animals.
