TheVietnamWar

VietnamwasruledbyFrance,aspartofFrenchIndochina,fromthemid-19thcentury.Itbecameindependentin1954astwocountries,thepro-WesternSouthVietnamandtheCommunistNorthVietnam.AttemptstounitethetwocountriesledtotheVietnamWarandeventuallysucceededin1975.
