fortheselonelycreatures.Yet,asshewouldfindout,theactofcaringforanimalsmayendupbringinglightandwarmthtoyourlifeaswell.OneSaturday,whilemakingherroundsattheanimalshelter,Kayceenoticedamiddle-agedmanwhowaslookingforadogtoadopt.Aftercaringforso
manydogswithroughpastsandahistoryofabusivetreatment,Kayceerecognized
asimilarpain
intheman'seyesashewanderedthroughthehallsoftheshelter,almost
inadaze(迷茫)
