Examplewith2emittersConnectingtoPCViewofOSIDDiagnostictoolconnectedtoanimagerwithearlyhardwareand/orsoftwareExchangeimagerorcontactXtralisSupportOSIDDiagnostictoolFirmwareupgradeIfOSIDDiagnostictoolversionandFirmwareversionareincompatibletheprogramwillproposetoupgradeProceedwiththeupgrade,followinstructionsonscreenOSIDDiagnostictoolFirmwareupgradeProceedwiththeupgrade,followinstructionsonscreenPassword:1413OSIDDiagnostictoolFirmwareupgradeWhencyclingthepower(switchingpoweroffandonagain)makesurethatboththe24VdcandtheUSBconnectionaredisconnectedUpgradebyusingtheUSBconnection,re-connect24VdcafterupgradingOSIDDiagnostictoolFirmwareupgradeUpgradingprocessevolutionStartupscreen(afterupgrade)Initializationscreens–viewfromimagerDependingonthenumberofemitters,theTrainingModewilltakebetween3to7minutesDuringthis‘long’period,-showwhattheImagerseesExplainthedifferencebetweenaCMOSimagingchip/CCDcamerai.e.‘whattheimagerisseeing’andasimplephotoreceiver1photocellversusseveral100.000pixelsPhotocellCCDcameraSimplisticallyput….ClickoncameraiconContinuingInitializationWhentherearereflectivesurfacesinthedemoroom;shinysurfaces,windows,mirrors,youcaninitiallyhavemanycandidates(10+)–donotworry,you’relucky!ExplaintheprocesshowOSIDwilleliminatereflectedcandidateswithsamesignature/codebutlessenergy.YouwillendupwiththeexactamountofemittersthatarereallyintheroomInitializationfinalizedTheimagewillnowshowthelocationofthevariousemitterswithagreeniconandanumberNumberingoftheemittersisfromlefttorightfromthepositionoftheimagerIfanyfaultsnowoccur,theEmittericon(s)willbeyellow.TypeoffaultwillshowtoprightofscreenandnexttotheEmitter#nlocationFordemopurposes,afaultcanbeforcedbyblockingthebeamForanewimageclick‘Acquire’button,theimagedoesnotrefreshautomaticallyNowyouareOKtodemoImageralignmentcouldhavebeenbetter!Faultdescriptions,ifanyFaultcodes-GeneralAlldipswitchesaredefaultsetto‘0’Whenchanginganydipswitchsetting(s),thesystemmustberecommissionedbydisconnectingpowertotheImagerforatleast10seconds.TheUSBFTDIjackplugcablemustalsobedisconnectedasthiscableprovidespowertotheImagerviathecomputerUSBport.Faultcode-System–DIPSwitchconfigbadDIPswitchesaresetincorrectly(alarmlevelisnotset,numberofEmitter(s)arenotset,morethanoneEmitterissetforanOSID10degreeImager)Faultcodes–NumberofemittersToofewEmitter(s)foundcomparedtotheconfigurednumbersetusingtheDIPswitchesToomanyEmitter(s)foundcomparedtotheconfigurednumbersetusingtheDIPswitchesFaultcode-ImagerSaturationorIncorrectEmitterPowerWhentheEmitter(s)areinstalledatdistancescloserthanthosespecifiedinOSIDProductGuideWhentheEmitter(s)areinstalledatdistancescloserthanthosespecifiedinOSIDProductGuideFaultcode-System–SignaltooLowandEmitteratedgeoffieldWhentheEmitter(s)areincorrectlyalignedorinstalledatdistancesfurtherthanthosespecifiedinOSIDProductGuideWhenEmitter(s)arecommissionedsuchthattheyarejustwithinthefieldofviewoftheImagerandnotinanacceptableposition.Thepicturescreenshotwillconfirmtheemitter(s)incorrectlocationFaultcodes-AlignmentdriftWhentheinstalledEmitter(s)havephysicallyshiftedthroughseverebuildingmovement,poormountingorexternaldisplacementforcesWhentheinstalledImagerhasphysicallydriftedthroughseverebuildingmovement,poormountingorexternaldisplacementforcesFaultcodes-ObjectintrusionandEmitterobscuredOccurswhenthereareblockage(s)ofthelightbeambetweentheEmitterandtheImagerthatarenotsmoketypesthataresustainedforashortperiodandcausealarge(almosttotal)attenuation.AnImagerorEmitterseverelydisplacedwithmisalignmentslargerthanthetoleratedamountasspecifiedinOSIDProductGuidemayalsocauseanobjectintrusionfault.Occurswhenthereareblockage(s)ofthelightbeambetweentheEmitterandtheImagerthatarenotsmoketypes,sustainedforacertainperiodandcauseamediumattenuationFaultcode-ReferenceLeveldriftedlow/highWhenthesignalreceivedbytheImagerhasreducedtoalevelthatisdeemedunacceptableduetobuildupofdustonfrontwindowsurfacesofanImagerorEmitterinstalledforalongtimeperiodToresolveareferenceleveldriftedlowproblem,thefrontwindowsoftheImagerandEmittersneedtobewipedcleanwithadampnon-scratchingclothAreferenceleveldriftedhighproblemcanoccurifanemitterwaspoorlyalignedandthealignmentgetsbetterthroughbuildingmovement.Alternativelyifasystemgetscommissionedinadustyanddirtyenvironmentandthedustdropsonecanexpectthis‘high’fault.Industyenvironmentstheinitialisationshouldbedonewhenthedustlevelsarelow.Faultcode-ReferenceLevelnotsetUponsettingthereferencelevel,ifthereareoccasionalobstructions,theImagerwillnotsetthelevels.Imagerlooksfor50consecutivepulsesthatarenotinterruptedtoobtainasaccurateasampleofthereferenceaspossibleasthisisusedforallmeasurementsgoingforward.VeryexceptionalfaultFaultcode–ImagercardversionconflictThiscanhappeniftheimagercardispulledoutofsocket;i.e.ifanimagergetsdroppedwhileoutofitsprotectiveboxVeryexceptionalfaultLocalDisk(C:)SunshineLog
